Imagine Network – Kim’s Experience
Over the next few weeks, well have chance to read stories from a few different students about their experiences being part of the Imagine Network. Here’s what Kim had to say:
Kim, just tell us a little bit about why you are thankful for the Imagine Network.
Because it’s a group of Christians who are active in their faith and when you get together you can really feel that and experience it. You can leave every Imagine gathering feeling encouraged and excited because you know that God is here and is active and alive in us.
How has being part of the Imagine Network helped you to live as a Christian at university?
With more confidence that God’s at work and also it filled in those connections with other Christians. It’s encouraging to know you’re not the only one who’s living for God at uni.
Have there been things you’ve learned this year that have changed your life as a Christian?
Yes. Having the expectation of growing through repentance and belief. Going through Lifeshapes as we have been in huddles has been absolutely amazing. Also being more purposeful in resting and abiding in God before actually going out and doing work for God. That’s been massive.
You mentioned huddles. Just tell us a bit about what a huddle is.
A huddle is a small gathering of leaders. We get together specifically to develop each other in our leadership skills as disciples of Christ, so then we get re-charged and can go out and lead discipleship groups so that more disciples are encouraged and grow and then hopefully they will continue to branch out and it will just be wonderful and amazing and big!
For people that might be reading this, who haven’t been along to Imagine before, what’s one good reason why they should come and get connected?
Because we’re really friendly!
